Hyundai Outlet Space One: Where We Go When We Want to Forget About Shopping and Just Have Fun with the Kids
Our twins' top two dream destinations: a swimming pool, and a farm. But on holiday weekends when both are too crowded to handle, there's always one place that delivers a relaxed, laugh-filled day for the whole family — Hyundai Outlet Space One in Namyangju. About an hour from home, just the right size, and somehow we always come back happier than we arrived.
What Is Space One?
Hyundai Outlet Space One is a lifestyle outlet in Namyangju combining shopping, dining, and some of the best free outdoor spaces for families near Seoul. The circular open-air courtyard is its signature feature — and it's genuinely beautiful to walk through.

The Central Garden — Where the Kids Always Run First
The moment we arrive, the twins make a beeline for the 1F central courtyard. It's a beautifully landscaped open space with a fountain at its heart — and in summer, the ground-level water jets turn it into an impromptu splash zone.
☀️ The outdoor terrace — trees, white umbrellas, and just enough shade
🌸 Spring hydrangeas in the garden — this stop alone was worth the trip
🌿 The central courtyard at ground level — fountain running, families lounging
🏙 Aerial view of the iconic circular courtyard — the heart of Space One
We came for an hour, stayed for three. The kids got soaked in the fountain, dried off in the sun, and were back at it again before we could say "let's go shopping."
The Interior — More Beautiful Than a Regular Outlet
The main building surprises first-timers. The atrium features an enormous colorful chandelier sculpture that becomes an instant photo backdrop. The curved architecture and natural light make it feel more like a museum than a shopping center.
🎨 The atrium chandelier — hard to walk past without stopping for a photo
3F Indoor Garden & Kids' Playground
The 3F area is genuinely one of our favorite spots in any outlet, anywhere. The indoor garden — white arch walkways, sculptural animals, lush greenery under a skylight — feels like stepping into a storybook. Right next to it, an outdoor kids' playground lets the twins burn off whatever energy they have left.
🌱 The 3F indoor garden — a genuinely magical space that even the adults want to linger in
Kids slide, run, and laugh while parents sit on the garden benches and simply breathe. It's as close to a reset button as a day out gets.
Disney Store — Eyes Wide, Wallets Open
No visit is complete without a stop at the Disney Store. The twins spot it from a distance and the speed picks up immediately. The shop floor is a carefully curated world of characters — Mickey, Winnie the Pooh, princesses, and more — displayed with the kind of detail that makes even parents go wide-eyed.
🏰 The Disney Store — no child walks past this one without stopping
🍯 The Winnie the Pooh corner — we did not leave empty-handed
Limited Character Events — A New Reason to Come Back Every Time
One of the best things about Space One is that something is always happening. On our recent visit, a Numberblocks pop-up was running — the twins spotted their favorite characters and couldn't contain themselves. Themed photo spots, interactive activities, and limited merchandise make each visit feel different from the last.
It's the kind of thing that makes kids excited to go back — and gives parents a reason to say yes.
