Songpa Water Kingdom: We Went on a Rainy Day and the Kids Begged to Go Back
It was raining all morning. We had nowhere to go, and by the time we decided to just do something, it was already past 11. My twins said the magic words — "We want to go swimming!" — and that was that. Swimsuits out, quick search, and we were heading to Songpa Water Kingdom.
We had zero expectations for an indoor waterpark in Seoul. We figured it would be small, maybe a little underwhelming. We were completely wrong.

📸 The kids' area — shallow, colorful, and perfect for toddlers
We Arrived at 3PM — and It Was Perfect
We got there around 2:30 and were in the water by 3. The crowds were light, the pools were open, and the kids had full run of the toddler area. Parking was effortless.
Three full-size water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river — inside a building in Seoul. I genuinely did not expect this level.
The sheer variety of attractions for a fully indoor Seoul waterpark honestly surprised us. The scale is bigger than it looks from the outside.
🎢 Three big slides — adults can ride while kids are in the toddler pool
Why This Place Is Perfect for Little Kids
There are two 0.3m toddler pools — shallow enough for small kids to splash freely. There is also a dedicated kids' slide that my twins rode more than five times. My husband and I tapped out well before they did.
And the best part for kids? Dinosaur sculptures are placed all around the lazy river. My twins spent the entire time hunting for each one — we went around at least five laps without them once asking to leave.

🦕 Dino spotting in the lazy river — endless entertainment
🌊 The wave pool — that giant red whale on the ceiling is a must-see
The Good and the Not-So-Good
✅ What We Loved
- Two 0.3m toddler pools
- Three big water slides
- Wave pool + lazy river
- Dinosaur sculptures (kids obsessed)
- Spacious parking
- Light crowds at 3PM
- Great value with seasonal deal
❌ Worth Knowing
- Water felt cold on a rainy day
- Restaurant closes early
- Kids under 120cm can't use adult lazy river
- No same-day discount booking
The Late Entry Strategy for an Early Bedtime 💡
Here is a tip I will be using again: arrive late on purpose. Toddlers typically burn out after 3 to 4 hours in the water. Go in at 3PM, they are done by 6. Then dinner, drive home, and they fall asleep in the car.
We were in the water from 3PM to 6PM, had a quick dinner, and I had officially finished parenting duties by 8PM. Total win.
